About Ducente

Ducente is an independent consultancy company in the fields of renewable energy and environmental technologies. The company was founded in 2001 by Krister Ståhl, M. Sc., who is the Managing Director.

Ducente carries more than 35 years’ experience from the energy business in Sweden and Europe and is frequently engaged as expert advisor to Danish and Swedish Authorities as well as the European Commission. In recent years Ducente has also been heavily involved in the purchasers’ overall project management of large-scale infrastructural hospital projects at Region Skåne, Sweden.

Ducente is a leading consultant in production of heat and power as well as alternative transportation fuels e.g. based on thermal gasification of biomass. We have been and are engaged in several large gasification projects including pre-studies, pre-FEEDs (Front End Engineering & Design), FEEDs, procurements and plant construction.

The experience from being responsible for the planning, construction, commissioning and operation of the Värnamo Biomass IGCC is unique.

Furthermore, Ducente has acted as interface between research, development, demonstration and commercial phases of different technologies and also been partner in European research projects.
